Northern Hotel Apartments — a modern surveillance upgrade

The Northern Hotel Apartments is a mixed-use residential and hospitality property that needed a modern surveillance platform to keep residents, guests and staff safe. The existing system had blind spots at entrances, parking areas and shared amenity spaces, and administrators had limited visibility into events after the fact.

The challenge

Property leadership wanted a single, easy-to-manage platform that combined interior and exterior coverage, wide-area situational awareness at entrances and parking, and clean evidence recording. They also wanted room to add license plate recognition in future phases without ripping out equipment.

The outcome

After deployment, property administrators had continuous coverage of every high-traffic space, faster search for incident review and a single platform they could train new staff on quickly. The system is now the foundation for future upgrades — including planned ALPR at the property's parking entrances.
